The missing question

Why does any difference remain distinguishable through change long enough to participate in reality?

Y-Theory begins before a finished object, clock, observer, or scientific subject is assumed. It asks for the minimum relational condition from which any of them could become available.

These are reference views of a concept. For the explanation in order, follow the complete narration with its constructions.

The missing question visual relationWhy can anything continue?

Identity boundary

Inside and outside exist here only through their relation.

The roles move when the selected identity or scale changes. This page declares the current reference instead of pretending the labels are absolute.

I

Inside

The distinction being followed.

R

Relation

Whatever lets the distinction remain consequential rather than disappear without a trace.

O

Outside

Everything not included in that declared distinction.

Y-Engine operation

Follow the change, not just the noun.

  1. 01
    Receives

A question about something that seems to exist.

  2. 02
    Changes

The question moves from ‘what is it made of?’ to ‘how does it remain distinguishable?’

  3. 03
    Retains

The chosen identity and point of reference.

  4. 04
    Returns

A testable demand: name the boundary, change, consequence, and continuity.

Geometry lens

See the relation as form and movement.

Before drawing a shape, declare what a point, boundary, or separation represents. A mark is not yet an identity merely because it is visible.

[ i r o ]

Matrix lens

Make the addresses and transforms explicit.

Before assigning a value, declare the address and relation that make two values comparable. Data without a reference frame cannot answer continuity.

↳ reality

Manifestation lens

Ask what this means in an actual domain.

Before explaining matter, life, or thought, identify what must survive change for the subject to remain the subject.

Claims, lineage, and proof boundary

The explanation resolves to exact governed addresses.

This is Y-Theory’s organizing question, not an empirical result by itself.

YT-CORE-001Canonical definition

Reality as continuing relational change

Reality is approached as continuing relational change rather than as a collection of finished, self-sufficient objects.

Guardrail: This is Y-Theory's organizing definition; it is not by itself an empirical proof that every scientific domain has one identical mechanism.
