Leakage: support lost from a continuing line

Leakage is support becoming unavailable to the continuation being followed. It describes a loss relative to that line.

Current Source DNA explanation. Each layer opens another view of the same identity; the original passages keep their own review state.

The central idea

Leakage is support becoming unavailable to the continuation being followed. It describes a loss relative to that line.

What it means

Name what is no longer available: a retained relation, usable return, resource or other specified support. Loss from one continuation does not mean absolute disappearance. Influence may participate in another route.

How it connects

Leakage matters together with reinforcement, access and closure. A return arriving after its needed support has become unavailable cannot renew the same relation in the intended way. Different parts of a whole may lose and regain support concurrently.

Geometry and representation

A declining scalar may represent leakage when the mapping is explicit. Exchange across a boundary, decay of amplitude and loss of a defining pattern are different observations. The drawing should identify what is being lost and to which continuation.

How it works

Specify the loss term, its conditions and the supported relation. The old chapter suggests stronger amplification can strain boundaries and increase loss. That is a conditional mechanism to establish, not a rule that every increase of reinforcement necessarily brings collapse.

Across different subjects

The old book treats damping as reduced distinguishability. A more precise reading separates signal magnitude from the survival of its relation: reducing interference can make a pattern more distinguishable. The domain explanation must state which quantity is damped and what distinction is preserved.

What an observer can examine

An observer can compare what remains usable after a return and what has become inaccessible. Missing data should be identified separately from measured support loss. A hidden graph edge is a display choice, not evidence of leakage in the source.
