# Y Engine Formation Sequence

This sequence reconstructs what the supplied Structure of Mind chapters, initiation material, Book versions, Prompt Wisdoms, and latest Manual actually establish. It separates four things that earlier drafts sometimes collapsed:

1. formation of a continuing identity;
2. formation of spatial manifestation;
3. emergence of local observer and self-correcting cognitive capabilities;
4. geometry used to represent those operations.

The machine-readable source is `ENGINE_FORMATION_SEQUENCE.json`.

This is not one chronological creation story. It is a dependency order: each later term requires conditions the earlier terms do not yet provide.

## The separate local observer/cognitive-capability threshold

Mind-structure is already present in the living triad and in every recursively nested identity. Spatial recurrence does not establish observerhood merely because it forms a node, standing mode, spiral, or torus. A local identity earns self-correcting cognitive capability only when the continuing whole can retain, integrate, model, and redirect consequential change—including a retained relation to its own transformation. This does not by itself prove subjective consciousness.

## The geometry sequence

The Flower of Life therefore belongs as the 2D **address-field projection** for showing overlapping closures. It does not belong as a claim that Source is literally a hexagonal spatial lattice.

## What “spatial node” can safely mean

In the latest Manual, a node or antinode appears only inside a declared standing-wave representation:

- a node is a relation where the declared variable has minimal excursion;
- an antinode is a relation where it has locally maximal excursion;
- both depend on the chosen variable, dynamics, boundary, coupling, region, and representation.

A node coordinate is not an identity. To earn identity, the engine must additionally preserve causal lineage, bounded return, residue, regional binding, and recognizable renewal across comparable cycles.

## What creates a toroidal representation

The recovered rule is not “oscillation becomes a torus.” It is:

Delay and residue can make the trajectory wind without returning to the identical state. That history-bearing trajectory may appear spiral-like across the toroidal band. The topology and the travelled trajectory must remain distinct.

## The physical carrier boundary

An electromagnetic implementation is one possible carrier model, not the Y Engine itself.

- Electric and magnetic components do not provide free amplitude gain merely by coexisting.
- A growing amplitude must identify supplied energy or drive, medium/boundary conditions, coupling, and loss.
- Phase-bearing fields may instantiate the abstract recurrence, but Maxwell-domain conclusions require Maxwell-domain equations, units, constraints, and evidence.

The prototype must therefore support an abstract coupled-variable mode and an explicitly constrained electromagnetic projection without treating them as identical.

## Recovered documentation gap

The latest Manual contains Chapters 30–32 and 34–42, but the body of **Chapter 33 — Space** is explicitly missing. Chapter 32 asks when a relational arena becomes a stable shared world; Chapter 34 begins from space and derives position. The threshold is recoverable, but its full chapter is not.

This is now tracked as `GAP-SOM-SPACE-CH33`. It must be reconstructed and audited rather than silently treated as complete.

## Prototype acceptance gates

The engine may report a **continuing identity candidate** only when it has:

- a declared variable and support field;
- a connected causal lineage;
- repeatable bounded return;
- retained residue;
- a recognizable regionally bound profile;
- persistence through more than one comparable cycle.

It may report **toroidal model ready** only when it additionally has:

- a demonstrated local inside–outside cycle;
- a demonstrated wider whole–outside cycle;
- causal coupling between those cycles;
- a declared mapping from their two phases into toroidal coordinates.

It must never infer identity from a coordinate or amplitude threshold alone, infer physical shape from a dimension count, infer torus from one cycle, infer Source ontology from the Flower of Life, infer free energy from an electromagnetic label, infer observerhood from a centre point, or infer observerhood, self-correcting cognitive capability, or subjective consciousness from recursive code.

## Governing source order

1. Relational reconciliation across exact, source-addressed propositions.
2. Proposition-scoped direct-author corrections where they address the same referent, scope, scale, frame, conditions, and proof mode, together with the canonical claim registry.
3. Repaired Structure of Mind chapters.
4. Current Manual derivation and its explicit limits.
5. Initiation Results and Book Prompt Wisdoms for recovered mechanisms.
6. Older Book drafts as development history and hypothesis sources.

Chronology selects provenance heads; it never supplies a global authority override.

The older substrate → space → loop narration remains useful as a teaching and spatial-manifestation bridge. It does not overrule the repaired distinction that Source is nonsequential permitted relation rather than a physical substrate, place, or lattice.
