# Source wisdom review reconciliation

- **Version:** `SRC-2026.08.31.3`
- **Historical audit:** `WCA-2026.08.31.2`
- **Current source inventory:** 1,610
- **Current primary-source review queue:** 738
- **Historical unresolved-state sources (immutable metric):** 704
- **Outstanding visual reviews:** 0

A source can be preserved, indexed, reviewed, approved, or empirically supported. Those are different states. This reconciliation never promotes a source statement merely because a file, phrase, diagram, or repeated pattern exists.

## Population bridge

The historical coverage ledger and the current source inventory are related populations, not interchangeable counts. Identity and byte equality are reported separately: a renamed or materialized source is not new content when its SHA-256 is unchanged.
The 1,610-record current inventory is frozen for this release. Direct author captures continue in the separately governed append-only `intake/WISDOM_INBOX.jsonl`; they do not alter this denominator until a new inventory snapshot is explicitly reconciled, approved, and versioned.

| Measure | Records |
| --- | ---: |
| Current inventory | 1,610 |
| Historical coverage ledger | 1,885 |
| Exact source ID + SHA-256 matches | 905 |
| SHA-256 aliases with a different source ID | 23 |
| Current rows represented by historical bytes | 928 |
| Current rows with genuinely new bytes | 682 |
| Represented exact-duplicate rows | 53 |
| Represented primary sources | 875 |
| Historical ledger rows not selected by the current content projection | 956 |

The complete 23-row source-ID alias map is stored in `source_id_aliases`; aliases preserve both names and the shared content hash.

## Current-inventory candidate coverage

Candidate coverage is computed only from the 1,470 represented primary sources. Exact duplicate rows are retained as provenance but excluded from candidate totals.

| State | Sources | Meaning |
| --- | ---: | --- |
| No extracted signal | 137 | No candidate statement was extracted |
| Fully addressed | 0 | Candidate-bearing source has zero unmatched candidates |
| Partially addressed | 58 | At least one registry/claim match and at least one unmatched candidate |
| Unaddressed | 680 | Candidate signal exists with no threshold registry/claim match |
| Queued for review | 738 | Partial plus unaddressed primary sources |

| Candidate balance | Occurrences |
| --- | ---: |
| Extracted candidates | 51,343 |
| Wisdom-mapped | 531 |
| Claim-mapped | 35 |
| Unmatched | 50,777 |
| Unmatched share | 98.898% |

## Historical audit metrics (preserved)

These values describe the immutable 1,700-row historical run. They are not substituted for current-inventory coverage.

| Historical measure | Count |
| --- | ---: |
| Unresolved-state sources | 704 |
| Candidate review occurrences | 113,346 |
| Exact candidate review clusters | 72,545 |

## Closed visual obligation

The historical audit required 8 image contact sheets to be inspected. All 8 are recorded in `MANUAL_VISUAL_REVIEW.md`; none supplied independent proof, and the current visual-review obligation is **0**.

## Preserved statement layer

| State | Records | Meaning |
| --- | ---: | --- |
| Explicit theses | 340 | Preserved author-emphasized statements |
| Candidate thesis review | 339 | Not automatically approved |
| Research questions | 120 | Retained as questions, not answers |
| Identity Mind `UNASSESSED_SOURCE_THESIS` records | 482 | Indexed with an explicit non-proof state |

## Current-inventory addenda

These records have no byte-identical row in the historical coverage ledger. SHA aliases are not addenda and are listed separately.

| Addendum state | Files |
| --- | ---: |
| `container_or_rendered_source_requires_content_crosswalk` | 4 |
| `current_inventory_addendum_review_required` | 668 |
| `current_runtime_or_code_evidence_requires_hypothesis_link` | 9 |
| `indexed_in_current_statement_or_section_atlas` | 1 |

## Deterministic review batches

Every partially addressed or unaddressed represented primary source is queued. Files are ordered by source authority first, then by unmatched candidate volume. A batch is a work queue, not a claim set.

| Batch | Tier | Files | Unmatched occurrences | Required action |
| --- | --- | ---: | ---: | --- |

## Reading boundary

Preserved and indexed mean recoverable for review. Neither state means canonically approved, empirically validated, theologically established, or literally equivalent across dimensions.

The machine-readable JSON contains every queued current source, its content hash, historical source alias and state, its priority tier, and the action/authority boundary that future agents must preserve.
