Source: possibility before a history

Source names the possibility of relation before one particular history is followed. Begin here because every manifested distinction requires the possibility of being distinct and related.

Source is not an earlier object, a location or a clock that starts moving. A situated possibility field is a reading of what can continue from a particular identity, history and surrounding relation. Probability in the structural reading names relative tendency among possible continuations under a declared condition. A numerical distribution represents that tendency through declared outcomes, conditioning and a specified model or measure. Neither reading is the whole meaning of Source, and a changing manifested condition does not make Source fluctuate.

Inside and outside become distinguishable through relation. The triad states this constitutive structure; an engine description states its operation; manifestation is a particular consequential expression. The explanatory order Source → engine → manifestation does not make Source an event preceding other events.

A field of branches can show available continuations from a reference. A toroidal map can place related source identities where an observer can explore them. Both are representations with chosen coordinates. Their movement belongs to the display or manifested model, not to Source.

To describe an operation, specify an identity, its present relational state, actual accessible surroundings and the law of update or response. The resulting history expresses a possibility. Do not describe the non-temporal Source itself as executing attempts, accumulating residues or oscillating.

In a software lens, a specification and input can be local sources for a process and its output. In a purpose lens, an intention can orient an activity. These are situated uses of the source role, already within manifestation. The older book also uses a theological reading; its original example remains in provenance as a separate domain lens.

The observer enters through a finite reference and can discover more relations from there. What is currently accessible is not everything that is possible. The Source-foundation route starts with Source and introduces inside, outside and relation, while the same source identity remains available from later geometry, matrix and Mind readings.
