Supplied explanation
The framework’s foundational question is how a distinguishable relation can remain followable through change. A current state, a continuing identity and a larger relational whole are not interchangeable. The flame, river and melody examples in the supplied books explain this by separating a changing carrier from a relation that remains recognizable. The books differ in how strongly they state the resulting law; those differences remain in the source library rather than being silently harmonized.
The current Mind manuscript starts with inside, outside and relation. These are jointly defining roles, not three independent objects assembled afterward. A whole can be named at a broader scale without adding a fourth primitive component. When that whole participates in another relation, hierarchy becomes possible. A scalar score or an assigned tag does not by itself establish that a continuing identity has formed.
Residue, trace and memory need separate definitions. In the manuscript, residue is a carried consequence, a trace is a retained consequence still carrying something specific, and functional memory involves retained history becoming consequential again. The author’s suggestion that residue is a relational difference is a useful candidate measurement, not an identity already proved for every substrate. A raw difference may be unretained; a retained consequence may not be representable by one scalar subtraction.
The three reference layers—possibility, manifestation and observer-scale reading—must also remain distinct. An accessible projection is not the entirety of what exists, while inaccessible possibility is not thereby a measured physical object. These are framework distinctions. The source books’ stronger claims about all of physics are preserved but are not independently proved by the Qur’an analysis.
There is a real terminology issue across versions. One Source passages say that a pure pattern does not leak and that leakage belongs to an identity network. Other books use pattern for an embodied, changing process and describe pattern leakage. That can reflect a changed referent rather than a contradiction. The remedy is to record the sense being used: abstract pattern, instantiated process, or identity network. Only assertions using the same definitions and scope can be directly tested for conflict.
Useful question: What is continuing, through which carrier, under which reference, and what evidence links the new state to the old one? This question governs both a textual identity such as a staff and a proposed runtime identity.
Basis: supplied Manual, Book of Existence, One Source Book; The Structure of Mind Chapters 1–5 and 17; canonical observer resolution. These sources are preserved in the library. See the correction register for unresolved version differences.
