Supplied explanation
The strongest candidate correspondences are those the source itself explicitly links. In Joseph’s dream interpretation, the repeated seven and the consuming relation move from represented animals and crops to anticipated periods and the use of stored harvest. The interpretation also specifies preparation. Number and operation travel together rather than being joined only by the analyst’s choice of a common label.
The later family scene at 12:100 is explicitly related to the earlier vision at 12:4. That supports the study of a relation across representations. It does not license a claim that a later verse independently enumerates every social participant, nor that all celestial references encode familial or psychological identities.
Other parables establish different transfers. Foam and what benefits people in 13:17 are explicitly used in a truth/falsehood comparison. Rooted and uprooted trees in 14:24–27 relate to words, stability and outcomes. The giving sequence in 2:261–266 develops multiplication, later conduct, rain and receiving surfaces, and vulnerability to a different disturbance. The whole journey must be preserved; compressing it to “soil means mind” loses its causal and contextual distinctions.
A useful abstraction is relation-preserving transport between domains. But its strength depends on what is preserved: participant roles, direction, number, operation, conditions or consequence. A shared noun is weak; an explicit interpretation preserving several relations is stronger. An analyst should record which properties do not transfer rather than merely maximizing similarity.
Interpretation also has temporal direction. Joseph’s advice concerns future periods and action. The servant’s explanation in 18:78–82 revisits already narrated actions. Joseph’s statement at 12:100 identifies a present realization of an earlier vision. These are prospective guidance, retrospective explanation and later identification; one generic arrow cannot represent all three without losing information.
The divine agency, moral evaluations and unseen knowledge asserted in the text remain part of the source record. A computational representation can compare relationships without claiming that it has explained away the theological account. Nor can the exceptional explanation of harmful acts in the Moses/servant episode become a general permission to imagine hidden benefits for harm.
Basis: Passes 3, 8–12, explicit source anchors in Joseph, the tree and foam parables, and the entire giving sequence; older GUIDANCE readings are prior interpretations, not independent replications.
