Charge transport as a carrier-specific prediction challenge

Y-Theory must predict a measurable current feature beyond renaming established charge transport as relational flow.

Exact question

What would make electron flow a Y prediction rather than a post-hoc analogy?

Declared relation∂ρ/∂t+∇·J=0; simple conductor: J=σE; circuit prediction requires Maxwell + constitutive + boundary relations

Native mechanism → Y relation

Preserve the carrier before translating the structure.

The mapping is auditable only when both descriptions remain visible. Y language does not overwrite the equation, mechanism, units, boundary conditions, or uncertainty of the field being studied.

N · native statement

Charge obeys continuity; current density depends on electromagnetic fields, geometry, material response, temperature, and carrier dynamics. Electron drift is not the same as signal or field propagation, and AC carriers need not travel around the whole circuit.

Y · relational translation

A carrier transports consequential difference through a constrained network; storage, phase lag, dissipation, and return can be assigned only after their native variables are retained.

Calibration and withheld return

The answer must not help write the question.

Calibration establishes measurement and allowed parameters. The held-out test remains unseen until the identity rule, model, uncertainty, rivals, scoring, and failure threshold are frozen.

01 · premises / calibration
  1. Freeze conductor geometry, contacts, material, temperature, frequency range, field/current probes, bandwidth, and uncertainty.
  2. Fit allowed Y parameters only on calibration frequencies and specimens.
02 · verification / held-out test
  1. Predict a held-out impedance, phase, transient, spatial current distribution, or scaling relation before measurement.
  2. Test new geometries and materials without changing the operator or adding hidden carrier rules.

Rivals · failure · present state

A claim becomes informative where it can lose.

No visual resemblance, repeated phrase, source density, or author confidence substitutes for a discriminating return.

Rival explanations
  • Maxwell plus measured constitutive response
  • Drude/transport model
  • Standard lumped or distributed circuit model
Failure / narrowing rule

The Y carrier claim fails if it violates charge conservation, confuses drift with signal propagation, or cannot beat or uniquely extend standard models on locked holdouts.

Protocol status

Editable draft for preregistration; no Y-specific electrical prediction is frozen, registered, run, or passed.

Does not establish

Electric current is not evidence that thought is electron flow, and a coil or circuit does not imply toroidal state topology unless the required independent phases are measured.
