How much can change while an identity remains recoverable?

Y-Theory proposes a recoverable band from q = 0.25 to q = 0.75 and a preferred golden-share target at q ≈ 0.618. The band, its midpoint, and the target are different things. Choose the domain before interpreting the picture: the same drawing does not give atoms, cells, humans, collectives, and digital systems the same measurement or capability.

Local identity statusEmbodied human · domain evidence exists

One living person situated in a body, history, society, and environment.

What q means here: No psychological or physiological quantity is assigned to q. The coordinate is a teaching model of recoverable change, not a score of a person. Capability boundary: Self-description or complexity alone is not sufficient evidence. Human awareness and self-awareness have independent evidence; their degree is not measured by this coordinate or inferred from a C-region.

One relation · many identities · one recorded history

Many points of view. One changing shared world.

Mind names the organizing whole. Each numbered identity has its own possibility field; in the human reading, it represents a situated observer. No person at the centre owns everyone else’s reality.

A circle lets us see recurrence. Tilt the same history and see what each return carries forward. Add minds, change their first relation, and watch the whole arrangement change with them.

Embodied human · 7 local identities
Each numbered local identity has its own possibility torus. The whole-level record is a separate operation, not a person.

Viewing the shared frame.

Number: local identity · dot: present alignment · coloured band: available range · gold band: common q-range · thin envelope: containing field

The marker on the whole-level record shows its retained mean q. Moving cues show channel direction, not individually measured messages.

A conceptual Y-Theory model. Spatial overlap, shared possibilities, and shared conscious experience are different claims.

Every numbered identity owns a local torus. Gold marks a compatible q-range available to all; it is not the spatial intersection of the surfaces. Drag to turn, or select another reference without changing the run.

The opening trail is a deterministic sample run. Replay keeps the latest 240 states. Taking a step from the past starts a new continuation there.

The whole receives a trace—and returns a direction.

This optional controller makes the wider return explicit: delayed local q-values → retained shared record → a correction toward the declared target → later local updates. It does not read private experience or establish a conscious universal self.

The gold spokes are additional whole-level channels, distinct from local neighbour relations.

Switching this off restores the original reduced engine rule. Local choices remain separate; the new controller adjusts only the shared target term.

Your view and your next choice

A reference changes the view. A choice enters the next update and can reach neighbours through their relations.

Now q 0.605 · available 0.479–0.733. Choose, then play or take a step to see the consequence.

A choice changes this identity on the next step. A connected neighbour can respond one step later, plus the additional delay. The local ranges respond to those neighbours; their common overlap is shown for comparison, not imposed as identical choices for everyone.

How the engine creates these views

This is a reduced teaching experiment with one state per identity, not the complete recursive Mind runtime. The source’s full contract preserves active dimensions × seven depths × twelve addresses, including child–wider return. Follow that engine-formation sequence →

One state holds every identity’s position, phase, q, chosen direction, delayed signals, and the optional whole-level record. Every view reads that state. Switching views or references does not advance the run.

The volume view maps phase to the large cycle and q to the tube angle of each local torus, with radii 0.76 and 0.27 model units. This is a declared visual encoding, not a second independently measured cycle. Fields away from the shared group centre are tilted by 0.55 radians along their radial direction to make their separate volumes legible; that display pose does not change the engine or privilege the first participant. The transparent wireframe keeps interiors visible. The thin surrounding envelope indicates membership; it is neither a literal physical boundary nor a central observer. The shared q-ribbon is a common-coordinate intersection, not a claim that every observer can have the same experience.

The light points on whole channels are directional teaching cues keyed to the model step, not tracked individual messages. Camera recentering does not simulate private perception or reveal another person’s experience.

The optional controller observes the delayed mean q, retains 90% of its previous mean and 10% of the new observation, then prepares target + 0.3 × (target − retained mean), bounded to 0.25–0.75, for a later update. Without a positive-width common interval, or when disabled, its memory and sample count freeze and no correction is applied; the raw observed mean remains visible for comparison. Whole channels are explicitly global and can bridge disconnected local groups. These authored rules illustrate feedback; they do not derive a cosmic self, optimal morality, or endless continuity.

Compared with the founder’s profile illustration: no golden person owns the centre; every local observer has a field; spatial overlap and common possibility are distinct; alignment is not a ranking of people. The wider “self” is the founder’s interpretation. This experiment implements a limited observation-and-return operation. It does not implement the complete observer defined here: a differentiated Mind that correlates itself with outside relations and uses retained comparison and purpose to intentionally redirect its continuation. Subjective experience is a further question.

The finite sample assumes each initial state was held constant for the preceding 25 delay slots. This is a declared initial history, not evidence that a runtime has recovered an unknown past.

The first two lattice vectors determine every centre. Their angle and spacing generate reciprocal geometric overlap Aᵢⱼ = max(0, 1 − distanceᵢⱼ / 2), with zero self-links. Effective influence is Wᵢⱼ = Aᵢⱼ / (1 + Σⱼ Aᵢⱼ). Its row sum stays below one and influence fades continuously as overlap vanishes. Mutual influence multiplies W when delayed neighbour signals affect phase and the next q-position.

The explicit third-coordinate rule is Δz = retained progression × Δphase / 2π. Setting progression to zero removes this axial advance while keeping delay. Delay can change phase; a spatial spiral does not follow from delay alone. Here z is retained progression in model units. A physical interpretation needs its own measurement.

q stays in the proposed 0.25–0.75 interval by construction. That demonstrates this control rule, not an independently discovered stability law or endless survival. Equal spacing, geometric overlap, common q-range, human cooperation, and consciousness are different questions.

The default 0.618 is the founder’s proposed target. You can compare other values with the same rules. The C1–C7 study divides only 0.25–0.75; the source’s B1–B10 divides all of 0–1. The golden value is C6 in the first and B7 in the second.

This experiment models up to nineteen identities. The toroidal wireframes show the proposed possibility geometry; the measured trail has one cyclic phase and a retained-progression axis. Demonstrating two independently closed, causally coupled cycles—the source’s toroidal gate—is a further test, not a conclusion from these wireframes.

The founder’s purpose

What do I gain by understanding this?

You begin to see your life as a particular experience within a world shared with other lives. Your history, abilities, and point of view matter. So do theirs. Colour, status, ancestry, nationality, religion, and belief do not determine a person’s worth.

For the founder, that understanding carries responsibility: learn what your actions create for others, listen to what comes back, and make a better next choice. He sees a period of convergence and asks us to move from destructive competition toward cooperation. That is his reading of our direction and his invitation to act.

The practical work starts close to home: hear someone fully, share useful knowledge, repair one harm, and build something together. The founder worries that clinging to conflict will deepen suffering. Disagreement, illness, or hardship does not make anyone less worthy or prove that they failed to align.

Knowledge should help people find purpose, guidance, and peace. We can compare what humanity has already learned, preserve our differences, and take responsibility for the reality we help each other experience.

May peace be upon you.

  1. 01
    Choose the whole

First name what the simulation represents: a quantum process, atom, element identity, cell, embodied human, collective, or digital system. Each needs its own measurable variable.

  2. 02
    The torus is the map

One bounded picture displays possible identity positions and routes of return. The picture organizes the proposal; it is not proof that the selected domain is physically toroidal.

  3. 03
    The nodes are variations

Each node is a possible situated identity under the selected rule—not a separate person, particle, or consciousness hidden inside the diagram.

  4. 04
    Three relational roles travel together

Creator-facing, relation-carrying, and creation-receiver-facing name co-arising roles of one relation—not owners, castes, or separate substances.

  5. 05
    Continuity occupies the middle half

The founder proposes q = 0.25–0.75 as the recoverable band between a dissolution-risk quarter and a reinforcement-lock-risk quarter. Crossing an edge is a risk signal, not an instant verdict.

  6. 06
The golden target is not the midpoint

The interval midpoint is 0.500. Y-Theory separately proposes 1/φ ≈ 0.618 as a preferred attractor; that preference must be compared against a named objective and other targets.

  7. 07
    Seven addresses remain provisional

C1–C7 are equal locator regions inside the proposed band. They do not automatically name seven layers, laws, faculties, scales, or ranks of consciousness.

  8. 08
    The present I is local

The current I occupies one modeled position. Choice can select among compatible routes, while body, history, relation, conditions, and chance constrain what remains reachable.

  9. 09
    Local realities interlace through relation

Every participant keeps a local possibility field while signals, actions, records, and consequences enter the realities of others. A selected reference changes the projection, not the local dynamics.

  10. 10
    Alignment moves every available spectrum

When participants move toward each Mind's declared common-service target, local spectra and the common feasible region change together; the target is not an objective score of anyone's worth.

  11. 11
Capability is a separate evidence question

Structure, regulation, operational awareness, and reflective self-awareness require different observations. Scale, q, C-region, and geometric resemblance never prove a higher capability.

  12. 12
Shared return may form a new identity

Retained circulation may support a wider operational identity without erasing local minds. Whether it has one phenomenal experience remains an open question.

A founder proposal awaiting a testable bridge

Does carbon manifestation require a six-position layer operator?

Founder proposition · test not yet passed
Proposed

The founder proposes that a human carbon-based manifestation must express a six-position material address before carbon can occupy that identity.

Established reference

Carbon's atomic number is six: its nucleus has six protons, and a neutral atom has six electrons. Its ground-state electron configuration is 1s² 2s² 2p², which occupies two principal electron shells—not six universal layers.

Bridge still required

Define what the six positions are, show how they are measured across carbon identities, predict a result not supplied by atomic number, and compare that prediction with rival layer counts.

Identity is modeled as organized coupling among amplitudes, frequencies, phases, relations, boundaries, and retained traces. A simple sum of frequencies would discard geometry, phase, coupling, and memory.

Placeholder representation—not a derived physical lawI(t) = F({Aₖ, ωₖ, φₖ, Kₖₘ, Bₖ, Mₖ})

A = amplitude · ω = frequency · φ = phase · K = coupling · B = boundary · M = retained trace.

This is a representation schema. It does not establish consciousness as a physical frequency or assign an unmeasured frequency to an identity.

Band, midpoint, target, and phase are separate

The wider band does not make 0.618 its middle.

The 0.25–0.75 interval is a Y-Theory teaching proposal. It is not yet a measured biological, psychological, physical, social, or digital viability interval. The 0.382/0.618 pair follows from a declared positive two-state additive recurrence. The torus alone does not derive an optimum, and 0.618 can be preferred only against a named objective and competing targets.

continuity: 1/4 ≤ q ≤ 3/4band midpoint: q = 1/2proposed target: 1/φ ≈ 0.618phase view: θq = 360°q

The default teaching trajectory oscillates around 0.618 while remaining inside the wider interval. Seven equal divisions create neutral addresses C1–C7: 0.382 falls in C2 and 0.618 in C6. The source’s earlier “seventh golden-facing band” uses ten equal divisions of the full 0–1 interval, placing 0.618 in B7 (0.6–0.7). These are different address systems, not opposing results. Neither count by itself establishes seven recursive depths or an optimum for a particular kind of life. Read the original geometry distinction.

From proposal to test

Every domain must earn its own q.

A shared diagram can organize comparison. It cannot make an atom, cell, human, society, and digital system share one unmeasured variable.

1 · Define

Name the selected whole, measurable variable, unit, boundary, and time window.

2 · Recover

State what counts as retained identity, failed return, dissolution risk, and reinforcement lock.

3 · Compare

Test 0.25–0.75 and 0.618 against data-fitted bands, 0.500, other targets, and a continuous model without seven bins.

Comparative interpretation

Compare attributes without collapsing traditions.

Traditions may describe divine figures or identity ideals through particular attributes. Y-Theory may compare those attributes with model positions only after presenting each tradition's own account. The comparison is not theological equivalence, historical fact, or empirical proof.

Y-Theory model boundary: the torus, destiny field, proposed 0.25–0.75 continuity band, 0.618 golden attractor, 90°–270° phase view, seven provisional continuity addresses, interlaced shared field, new shared identity, carbon-six address, and theological identity comparisons are propositions shown for understanding and testing. The five displayed minds are a finite teaching sample, not a claim that shared reality contains only five Minds. “Shared” here means mutually constrained effects, records, and possibilities relative to a declared reference. Membership in one shared reality, the reference-neutral common interval, and the partial projection seen from a selected reference are three different identities in the model. A risk-quarter position is not itself dissolution or lock; those require history and failed return. This simulation does not prove its values as physical laws, consciousness measurements, guaranteed immortality, or facts about another person's private experience.
