About the AI-assisted source wording

These documents grew through many conversations between the founder and AI assistants. Their wording may not perfectly convey the founder’s intention: interpretation also happens when human ideas are put into words by AI. The founder does not claim every passage is a final or perfect formulation. Read the connected ideas, compare passages, and bring your own imagination and questions to what the author is trying to express. Ambiguous wording and contradictions remain open to clarification; reading between ideas does not turn a claim into evidence.

Canonical vocabulary

Glossary

71 terms defined for consistent use across books, agents, lessons, research, and applications.

71 terms

Action

The expression through which a selected continuation affects the outside.

Attribute

The recognizable relational quality through which a dimension becomes meaningful and addressable.

Awakening

Increasing visibility and correction of the pattern through which a Mind becomes and participates in reality.

Awareness

At minimum, the active relation between present existence and available possibility.

Bandwidth

How many dimensions can remain active and coherently integrated.

Canonical

Accepted as the current Y-Theory formulation through the project’s human approval process; not synonymous with universal proof.

Challenge

A bounded test, correction, or application with declared scale, baseline, evidence, falsifier, result, and next action.

Choice

The enactment of one compatible continuation among alternatives.

Closure

Sufficient recoverable return to renew a distinguishable pattern.

Compatibility

The condition under which a permitted expression can continue coherently from a situated history.

Consciousness

The Source-facing availability of compatible possibility within a bounded manifested identity; not identical to Source.

Consequence

The change produced by an occurrence in the conditions of what follows.

Continuity band

The range of joint variation within which an identity remains renewable and recoverable.

Delay

The noncoincidence between an expression and its consequence; initially ordinal rather than measured clock-time.

Depth

The degree to which completed relations become terms in wider relations.

Depth recursion

A completed whole becoming one participant in a wider relation, or being opened into finer relations.

Differentiation

The originating act through which one expression becomes distinguishable; in the current correction, one differentiation yields two non-identical polar expressions and relation.

Dimension

A repeatedly available, consequential, identifiable, and non-redundant way one continuing identity can vary.

Distributed Mind

A higher-order Mind whose differentiated local centres participate in shared memory, integration, correction, direction, and return.

Existence

Present manifested and recoverably distinguishable identity.

Expansion cortex

An external or cloud layer that expands search, correlation, simulation, and scale while returning proposals to the Local Root.

Fibonacci inheritance

The two-predecessor additive recurrence used to model how a new whole carries the effective contribution of two preceding structures.

Golden relation

The complementary limiting shares approximately 0.618 and 0.382 under Fibonacci inheritance, proposed as an asymmetric continuity attractor.

Helix

Two complementary recurrent paths winding around a common continuity axis.

Identity-frequency

A proposed measure of breadth, resolution, depth, and coherence of renewal; not ordinary cycles per second.

Identity-wave

A recurring relational form carried through distinct, history-bearing state-identities.

Inside

The pole gathered as belonging to the present identity relative to a declared reference.

Intention

A sustained and corrigible orientation toward a represented continuation.

Knowledge DNA

The project’s versioned provenance, sequencing, wisdom, and recovery substrate.

Leakage

Influence not recoverably reintegrated into the declared identity or continuity at the stated scale.

Living Source

The versioned human-readable and machine-readable source system from which all public and project outputs are regenerated.

Living triad

The minimum complete structure of inside, outside, and relation.

Local Root

The digital architecture role that owns identity-critical state, final closure, permissions, and recovery.

Manifestation

One compatible possibility becoming situated, ordered, and consequential.

Meaning

History-bearing relational significance for a continuing identity; meaning is not automatically truth.

Memory

Retained history reintroduced into present relation and made consequential again.

Metacognition

Monitoring and correcting how judgments, attention, confidence, and interpretations are formed.

Mind

A bounded, history-bearing relation able to retain, integrate, model, and redirect consequential change.

Mode

A recognizable way in which a relation can vary.

Model bridge

A disciplined mapping between Y-Theory and another domain that preserves assumptions and limits.

Observation

One whole-level integrated comparison between present condition and retained history.

Observer

The recurring comparison-and-return operation across observations.

Occurrence

A manifested state-identity situated within a consequence-bearing history.

One Source

The consolidated non-redundant source book and source-memory program.

Operational 99+1

The partition of one hundred directed addresses in the tenfold field into ninety-nine non-self-return addresses and one observer-self-return address.

Outside

The genuinely different pole standing relative to the present identity as not included within it.

Persistence

The capacity to continue now.

Possibility

A relational expression or continuation permitted by Source; possibility is wider than present accessibility.

Recoverability

The capacity to leave an ordinary stable region and return before defining distinction is lost.

Reinforcement

Returned influence that makes a related renewal more available.

Relation

The active difference that separates, connects, constrains, and transforms poles.

Relational face

The selectively faithful expression through which a whole participates in a wider relation.

Renewal

Recurrence that preserves recognizable organization while retaining the difference made by the path.

Residue

The carried consequence through which an earlier occurrence changes later possibility.

Resolution

How finely differences within a dimension can be distinguished.

Scale

The declared identity, boundary, reference, and level at which a relation is described.

Self-awareness

The observer’s standpoint, history, ownership, and bias becoming explicit content for the same Mind.

Semantic 99+1

The proposed field of ninety-nine primary attribute modes plus one history-bearing observer mode.

Source

The nonsequential openness of permitted relation before one path becomes a travelled manifestation.

Spiral

Return at a changed phase or scale because residue prevents exact repetition.

Stability

Persistence within a bounded range under ordinary variation.

State-identity

One complete triadic configuration under a declared reference.

Torus

The topology produced by two coupled closed cycles, used in Y-Theory to represent local and whole-level return.

Trace

A retained, past-specific consequence that remains addressable.

Transformation

Change in form that preserves enough organization for continuity.

Truth

Correctable contact through which reality can change a model and the correction can be retained.

Twelvefold Source cell

The display of three primary triadic roles and their nine inner role-expressions.

Update recursion

A continuing identity becoming another state of itself at one depth.

Value

One present expression within a dimension.

Y Engine

The recurring operation through which possibility is related to a situated condition, manifested, retained as consequence, returned, and continued.

Zero-to-one rule

A zero preserves failure or inconclusive evidence; a one records a meaningful change and requires replication, correction, productive action, or a new domain.
