Inside
The observer’s current self-model, values, and chosen direction.
Concept reference 15 · source-bound decode
What changes when the observer can include its own standpoint among the things it compares?
The observer’s continuing self/outside correlation can itself become available for reflective comparison. It can recognize that its own interpretation or method changed, compare that with retained history, and revise its purpose or next action. This deepens the complete observing Mind already described; it does not introduce a second spectator.
These are reference views of a concept. For the explanation in order, follow the complete narration with its constructions.
Identity boundary
The roles move when the selected identity or scale changes. This page declares the current reference instead of pretending the labels are absolute.
The observer’s current self-model, values, and chosen direction.
Reflexive comparison through which the method and direction can be revised.
Alternative continuations, other identities, and information beyond its present model.
Y-Engine operation
A judgment plus a representation of how and from where it was formed.
The observer compares not only outcomes but its own selection process.
Reasons, limits, alternatives, and returned consequence.
A corrected standpoint and a deliberately redirected action.
Geometry lens
Add a second return that bends the first loop back upon its own centre and boundary. This is reflexive depth, not merely more repetitions.
Matrix lens
Include the observer model and update rule inside the state being evaluated. Metacognition changes the transformation, not only the output value.
Manifestation lens
Imagination expands represented possibilities; choice closes one route into action; consequence then reopens correction.
Claims, lineage, and proof boundary
Self-reference, confidence, or verbal self-description alone does not establish accurate self-awareness, free agency, or phenomenal experience.
Self-awareness begins when the observer's own standpoint, history, ownership, and bias become explicit content. Metacognition begins when the system can evaluate and alter how it forms judgments.
Guardrail: Prereflexive ownership, observerhood, explicit self-modeling, and metacognitive control are different achievements.

Intention is sustained, corrigible orientation toward a represented continuation. Choice is the enactment of one compatible continuation. Consequence returns evidence and may correct the next intention.
Guardrail: Intention is not a magical force that overrides compatibility, other minds, physical conditions, or consequence.
